DON'T FORGET Summer Reading Programs June 8 - Aug 24, 2020

Virtual program now until August 24. No computer? Local libraries give curbside packets.

Check out this summer's reading program! Crawford County will be conducting a virtual program this year. Also, individual libraries will have take home material for those without data access. Check on your local library's website or call for additional information to get started.

Age categories are: Infants and Young Children Ages 0-2 ; Kids Ages 3-12 ; Teens Ages 12-18; and Adult.

Starting August 24th, you can redeem prizes! Return methods for borrowed materials will be announced as we progress through the summer. The more you read, the more prizes you will earn at the end of the program!

Summer readers enroll on the READsquared site and create an activity log. Each library has their own Readsquared link, found on their own websites or FaceBook pages. Participants provide an email and a created password. If you choose "register myself and my children" when signing up you'll be able to access the entire family's progress from one account. Miss Becky from Titusville's Benson Library offers a recorded FaceBook link that will help you with signing up. Just bear in mind while watching-the Readsquared web address is a little different for each library location so be sure to use your own, not "benson.Readsquared", Titusville's address.

The Adult program has awesome prizes this year. They include a Deluxe  Grilling Set, NuWave Oven, or Ancestry DNA Kit, and 1 Grand Prize entry  ticket for a 32" Smart TV! No time to sit and read? Check out my audio-books article and "read" while driving, gardening, folding  laundry or cooking dinner!

Materials for curbside pickup can be reserved on your library's website. Your library card number is the log in, the password is your last name - all lower case. (I misplaced my card so I called my library and they gave it me.)

Links for additional activities offered through Titusville's Benson Memorial Library will be posted in the "Events"  section of the MacaroniKid website daily. These include "Make and Take"   projects, Draw and Tell story times, Baby Bounce sessions and Meet and   Greets with a soccer player, a musician, and a nurse. The supplements   can be accessed even if you aren't participating in Summer Reading.
